• Whole Body Workout – Standing Routine

As a reminder, functional movements are movements that are based on real-world situations. They usually involve multiple joint movements that place a demand on the body’s core muscles in functional ways.

The 7 basic functional movements are:

• Push
• Pull
• Squat
• Lunge
• Hinge
• Twist
• Walk

Functional movement exercises help to prepare your muscles for daily tasks by simulating common movements that you might do throughout your day. Most of these exercises also concentrate on core stability, which improves overall balance.

 

The reality is that the average senior loses about 3% of their muscle strength every year, but this decrease can be delayed, or even reversed through proper diet and exercise. Do not become an unfortunate statistic. There is no better time to increase your strength, improve your balance, and maintain your independence. Q: How long until I see results?

Q: Can I use this program if I’ve had an injury or surgery?

Q: Are the stretches and movements difficult to perform?

Not at all. These are simple and natural movements that you will easily “get” after one or two viewings of the videos. And each stretch, movement and exercise is very gentle.

 

Q: Do I have to watch all of the videos all in one sitting?

No, you can watch the videos whenever you like (even at 3 am), do parts and pieces whenever you have time, do everything at your own pace, and revisit any aspects of the videos anytime.

 

Q: Can I watch the videos on my smartphone or tablet?

Absolutely – the videos are in M4V format that can be viewed on any computer, tablet or smartphone.
